It was mere minutes from a fourth consecutive loss when Kylian Mbappe and Lionel Messi averted a major crisis at Paris Saint-Germain on Sunday. The French league leaders lost a two-goal lead to Lille in the 86th minute before Kylian Mbappe and Lionel Messi turned a fiasco into a 4-3 victory.

Messi and Mbappe inspired PSG to an emphatic 4-3 victory over LilleThe Paris Saint-Germain team appeared on the verge of losing its fourth consecutive match in all competitions when Mbappe snatched a late equalizer at Parc des Princes. In added time, Messi scored the decisive winning goal with a left-footed shot into the bottom right corner of the goal, reports the Associated Press.

This hard-fought victory follows a 1-0 Champions League defeat at home last week to Bayern, which came after a 3-1 league defeat to Monaco and another setback against bitter rival Marseille in the French Cup. Neymar had given PSG a 2-0 lead after 16 minutes, but the French champions conceded three goals – Bafode Diakite, Jonathan David, and Jonathan Bamba. Neymar was injured during this period.
